# StarTree Extension APIs

> Reference for the controller endpoints StarTree adds on top of Apache Pinot: atomic ingestion, restream, consistent push, dedup and upsert snapshots, rate limiting, tuners, and cluster health.

These endpoints are served by the same controller as the [Pinot Controller APIs](/api-reference/pinot-controller/introduction), with the same base URL and headers, but they only exist in StarTree Cloud. They cover operations that open source Pinot does not expose, such as uploading several segments as one atomic batch, replacing a table from a stream without downtime, or taking snapshots of dedup and upsert metadata.
